Want to grow your Las Vegas business? Free ad opportunity!!

My name is Fiona, Las Vegas Coupon Momma, and I am part of grocerysmarts.com. We are a free local online website that helps other people here in the valley to save on their grocery bills.

More thank likely you are reading this post because you are a local business looking to build your client base. Lots of small businesses have a shoe string size budget and any help for advertisements. Since we are both local companies and we both want to grow our businesses. I have a business proposal for free advertising! Yes, free and I would do all the work for you! It is a great way to drive new customers to your site and our site. No, is not a joke and it is for real!

A few times a week, our customers log onto this site to create their shopping lists. In the middle of the page, there is a drop down box. This is where they click on the store they want to shop at and they are ready to make this lists. Here is an example of this week's list for Smiths. As you can see in the upper right corner, is my ad.

Guess what! I can change it up and have your logo on it! So every time a customer of ours prints out their lists, this badge or logo is always there. Here is an example:

What I would do is pull the logo off your site and draft up an ad for you. Like your shopping list was provided by: (your business name here). You are more than welcome to add a special deal. For example: Turn this slip in for XYZ deal. Or whatever you would like it to say. It is totally optional but people love deals on our site! Just let me know what you want to do or don't want to do, and we can customize it for you.

You are wondering what the catch is, free advising? The only think we ask if you provide a direct link on your website, Facebook page, Twitter, any other social medias, and any mailers. On your newsletters and websites just have like a tab, link or picture that has this our link active. Then, your customers can click on the link and go to this page, with your ads there.

Thank you for your time and please let me know if you are interested. Then we can start drafting up your ad on our site. Please email me at lvcouponmomma@gmail.com.

Say What?? Couponing Lingo

I use many different acronyms on Las Vegas Coupon Momma. This guide is a reference to help you understand the lingo associated with couponing. Once you start seeing it on a regular basis..it becomes natural!

These are the basic ones you will see me and many other couponers use on their posts:

* $1.00/1, $2.00/1, etc: One dollar off one product, two dollars off one product, etc.
* Blinkie: A machine found at grocery stores that spits out coupons.
* BOGO: Buy one, get one.  Will usually end with “free” or “half off” meaning buy one, get one half off, or buy one get one free.
* B1G1, B2G1: Another way to write ‘buy one, get one’.  The “B” stands for “buy”, the G stands for “get”. B1G1= Buy one, get one.    B2G1= Buy two, get one B2G2= Buy two, get two
* Catalina Machine / Coupon: A machine located at most registers that produces long receipt like coupons that can be used on a future purchase.
* ECB:  Extra Care Buck CVS pharmacy program.

* IP: Internet Printable coupons may be printed right from your home computer.  Usually limited to 2 prints per computer.
* MIR: Mail in Rebate, refers to rebates which must be submitted by mail.  These are the traditional rebates that require you to mail in both your receipt and proof of purchase in the form of UPC barcodes.
* MM: Money Maker.
* MFR: Manufacturer abbreviation.
* OOP: Out-of-Pocket; refers to the amount of money you will pay a store to make your purchase.  Does not include and after-purchase savings, coupons or rebates.
* OYNO: On Your Next Order.  Store promos such as Spend $25, save $10 on your next shopping order.  OYNO refers to savings that you will not see on your first transaction, but that may be applied to your next purchase.
* Peelie: A peelable coupon found on a product.
* P&G:Proctor and Gamble manufacture a wide range of consumer goods and are one of the largest corporations in the world.  Proctor and Gamble puts out monthly coupon inserts filled with coupons for a variety of Proctor and Gamble produced brands, just a few of which include: Always, Bounty, Crest, Dawn, Gillette, Olay, Pampers and Tide.
* RR: Register Rewards.  Walgreens drugstore rewards program, and version of the catalina coupon.
* RP: Red Plum. Red Plum coupon inserts and website feature coupons from a variety of manufacturers.
* SCR:  Single Check Rebate, Rite Aid Drugstore monthly rebate program.
* SS: Smart Source. A marketing company, like RP, Smart Source coupon inserts and website feature coupons from a variety of manufacturers. Smart Source coupon inserts can be found in most Sunday papers.

Love Starbucks?

So do I! How about getting free drinks and food while you are there? Is it a big secret code and hand shake? Nope! Just the other day, I got a Venti Soy Pumpkin Spice Latte and it was free. So I wanted to write about it.

Actually it is pretty simple, just use any registered Starbucks Card (I.E. gift card) to start earning rewards like free refills and free drinks. I have my gold card (yes, I am one of those) linked up to my Paypal account and phone. Once I want to reload my card, I just touch my screen on my iPhone to reload and I am done. Simple as that! It is just like swiping your debit card in the store but I use my Starbucks APP to get my star points.

Here’s how My Starbucks Rewards works: earn Stars by paying with a registered Starbucks Card, the Starbucks mobile app or by entering Star codes from specially marked Starbucks products in the grocery store. We’ll treat you to your favorites on the house: free drinks, free food, free refills and more
Three easy ways to join:

Register any Starbucks Card including a Teavana® Card
Enter a Star code
Download the free Starbucks app

Then start earning Stars:

Keep earning Stars by using your registered Starbucks Card at participating Starbucks®, Teavana® , Evolution Fresh™ and Tazo® Tea retail stores, or enter a Star codes from select Starbucks products in the grocery aisle.

As you collect Stars, you move up to bigger benefits. There are three reward levels. Welcome, Green and GOLD level.

Welcome

Use your card once, earn your first reward. Sweet!
Something to Drink or Eat On Your Birthday

Get a little extra birthday love with a free drink or food reward on your big day.
How Do I get it?

Green

Five Stars puts you at Green. Besides your free birthday drink or food reward, you also earn:
Free Refills in the Store

We want you to feel at home. Paying with your registered Starbucks Card or mobile app gets you brewed and iced coffee and tea refills at no charge during your visit at a participating store.
How do I get free refills?

Gold

How did it all started?

Couponing is a great way to save tons of money. You can use coupons for food products, toiletries, personal items, pets, laundry, baby stuff, etc. When I had my son, my husband and I had the "budget talk" and we found out for a family of 5 (my in laws lived with us at the time) and 2 dogs. We where spending about close to $2000 a month. It was out of control and we wanted to pay off our credit card debt and save money for our son's education.

So I started couponing, I attended a free class (the same one I now teach) and with practice, we trimmed our $2000 grocery bill down to $400-$500 a month.

Do you need to save every time you shop at the store? Book today your free class!

Labor Day Sales 2013

There are a few websites are posting online deals for labor day. ABC posted a list of 23 Must See Labor Day deals.

My favorite sale site is already a 24/7 sale and during the holidays they even mark their stuff even further down! If you have not heard, the website is called 6pm.com. It is the sister website to Zappos.com and their products are real. No selling fakes here! Always free shipping to your location and you can get a lot of items for rock bottom prices. Check back on Monday at 6 AM PST for all the Labor day sale items.

Hint - This is how I get my Christmas shopping done. I love this site!

Details of my Gift Card Giveaway

http://nvartscouncil.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/thanks.jpg

Thank you everyone for the support and following on Facebook. As promised, after 500 likes, I want to thank all my followers.

Between now and the end of this year, if you book a class and complete it (I.E. having me come over and teach you and your friends), your name will be entered to win a gift card. I request at least 5 people to attend to qualify for the drawing. But there is more!!! For every 5 people you have at your class, the more chances your name will be placed in the hat. For example, I had 10 people at my class in Sept., my name will be entered in twice for the month of September. Pretty good huh?

***New**** want more entries?? If you or your guests donate items for Pay it Forward with Coupons, you qualify for another entry in the hat. Each month will focus on a type of item; for example Aug. and Sept. is school supplies. Oct. and Nov. we are going to do a food drive. December more than likely toys. Details for each month donations will be available when that month comes up.

After the last class of the month, I will draw out of a hat. Then, I will blast your name all over my page and will try to contact you to mail your gift card. The gift cards can be any location and any amount. It all really depends which store I go to pick it up. But do not worry, I pick out good gift cards. ;)

If you do not respond back in a timely manner (giving it like 72 hours +) to get your reward, I will pick another name out of the hat. Trust me, I will do everything in my power to get a hold of the winners.

For non booking fans, I will give away some free Las Vegas Coupon Momma Swag and other cool stuff. Be on the look out for that! I did my first one yesterday and since I am in a good mood... I might do another one later today. :)

Smith's Haul Run -- Savings 78%

My smiths run for the week. The numbers are a little off on the ticket because of my rain checks.

When you do a rain check, they adjust the price the sale price but will not display the savings.

My rain checks are for the 15 bottles of shaving cream (yes 15) and the two packages of toliet paper.

The shaving cream is about $5 each when it is not on sale. A couple weeks ago, it was part of the "Buy 5 Get $5 Back" sale. Which made them $1.49 each and there is an amazing coupon for $6 off when you buy 3! A rare money making coupon!! Of course, the shelves were cleared in a blink of an eye but no sweat. I got a rain check and will redeem it another day after the sale ends. Finally, Smiths had enough in stock and on the shelves for me to buy all 15, without clearing the shelves. Once I was ready to check out, the cashier had to manually type in the price of $1.49 for each shaving cream (yes, she had to do this 15 times).

I still got it for free and made $7.65. However, worth and out of pocket (OOP) savings numbers are off on the ticket. As pictured you see I saved $84.61 and savings is 66%.  Not pictured is the OOP price of $46.96 including tax.

With my math, this is what my numbers should be if the shaving cream showed them as $5 each and toliet paper as $3.59 (the current price now on the shelves).

Worth: $212.75
Oop: $45.96

Savings: 78%

Free - 30 Day Trail on ABCmouse.com

You seen the ads on TV, online school for Preschoolers and Kindergarten kids. To good to be true?
About 2 weeks ago, I decided to take up the free 30 day trial to see if it cracked up to be. Let's just say my son instantly loved it, which makes me love it even more.
What is ABCmouse? It is an awesome learning site for preschool through early elementary age kids.
My son is only 2.5 years old and working on the toddler level. It teaches colors, songs, shapes, and counting. He is mastering the mouse pretty quick on the site and loves clicking on all the things you can do. His favorite it visiting the farm and zoo to learn about the animals. Plus there is a fish tank and hamster cage in the class room that your child "takes care". I promise it will not die like a Tamagotchi (I just dated myself here) if you do not visit every day.
The Step-by-Step Learning Path presents the full ABCmouse.com curriculum in a carefully designed program of more than 450 lessons in six levels. As your child completes each lesson, he or she is guided to the next one and is motivated to continue learning by ABCmouse.com’s Tickets and Rewards System.
Setting up your account is a lot of fun and very easy to do. You will have a parent account and child account(s). I believe it was up to 2-3 children on one parent account. Once you set up your parent account, you pick levels you want your children to be on. From there you can pick out your avatars and dress them to look like your children. From there you are off to explore the classroom and the many activities to do on the site. Hours and hours of fun!
