You seen the ads on TV, online school for Preschoolers and Kindergarten kids. To good to be true?
About 2 weeks ago, I decided to take up the free 30 day trial to see if it cracked up to be. Let's just say my son instantly loved it, which makes me love it even more.
What is ABCmouse? It is an awesome learning site for preschool through early elementary age kids.
My son is only 2.5 years old and working on the toddler level. It teaches colors, songs, shapes, and counting. He is mastering the mouse pretty quick on the site and loves clicking on all the things you can do. His favorite it visiting the farm and zoo to learn about the animals. Plus there is a fish tank and hamster cage in the class room that your child "takes care". I promise it will not die like a Tamagotchi (I just dated myself here) if you do not visit every day.
The Step-by-Step Learning Path presents the full ABCmouse.com curriculum in a carefully designed program of more than 450 lessons in six levels. As your child completes each lesson, he or she is guided to the next one and is motivated to continue learning by ABCmouse.com’s Tickets and Rewards System.
Setting up your account is a lot of fun and very easy to do. You will have a parent account and child account(s). I believe it was up to 2-3 children on one parent account. Once you set up your parent account, you pick levels you want your children to be on. From there you can pick out your avatars and dress them to look like your children. From there you are off to explore the classroom and the many activities to do on the site. Hours and hours of fun!
