Labor Day Sales 2013

There are a few websites are posting online deals for labor day. ABC posted a list of 23 Must See Labor Day deals.

My favorite sale site is already a 24/7 sale and during the holidays they even mark their stuff even further down! If you have not heard, the website is called 6pm.com. It is the sister website to Zappos.com and their products are real. No selling fakes here! Always free shipping to your location and you can get a lot of items for rock bottom prices. Check back on Monday at 6 AM PST for all the Labor day sale items.

Details of my Gift Card Giveaway

Thank you everyone for the support and following on Facebook. As promised, after 500 likes, I want to thank all my followers.

Between now and the end of this year, if you book a class and complete it (I.E. having me come over and teach you and your friends), your name will be entered to win a gift card. I request at least 5 people to attend to qualify for the drawing. But there is more!!! For every 5 people you have at your class, the more chances your name will be placed in the hat. For example, I had 10 people at my class in Sept., my name will be entered in twice for the month of September. Pretty good huh?

Each month will focus on a type of item; for example Aug. and Sept. is school supplies. Oct. and Nov. we are going to do a food drive. December more than likely toys. After the last class of the month, I will draw out of a hat. Then, I will blast your name all over my page and will try to contact you to mail your gift card. The gift cards can be any location and any amount. It all really depends which store I go to pick it up. But do not worry, I pick out good gift cards. ;)

Smith's Haul Run -- Savings 78%

My smiths run for the week. The numbers are a little off on the ticket because of my rain checks.

When you do a rain check, they adjust the price the sale price but will not display the savings. 

My rain checks are for the 15 bottles of shaving cream (yes 15) and the two packages of toliet paper.

The shaving cream is about $5 each when it is not on sale. A couple weeks ago, it was part of the "Buy 5 Get $5 Back" sale. Which made them $1.49 each and there is an amazing coupon for $6 off when you buy 3! A rare money making coupon!! Of course, the shelves were cleared in a blink of an eye but no sweat. I got a rain check and will redeem it another day after the sale ends. Finally, Smiths had enough in stock and on the shelves for me to buy all 15, without clearing the shelves. Once I was ready to check out, the cashier had to manually type in the price of $1.49 for each shaving cream (yes, she had to do this 15 times). 

I still got it for free and made $7.65. However, worth and out of pocket (OOP) savings numbers are off on the ticket. As pictured you see I saved $84.61 and savings is 66%.  Not pictured is the OOP price of $46.96 including tax.

With my math, this is what my numbers should be if the shaving cream showed them as $5 each and toliet paper as $3.59 (the current price now on the shelves).

Worth: $212.75
Oop: $45.96
Savings: 78%
